Time & activity

What TeamLens records, and who can see it

While the agent is running, TeamLens records work-time activity: when you are active, and which apps and websites you use. Screenshots are recorded only if your organisation has turned them on in its settings. Who can see it - Admins set the policy for the organisation. - Managers see the people they manage. - Members see their own data, under My data in the app.

Screenshots and blur

- Screenshots are off unless your organisation turns them on (Settings → Screenshot capture). They can be switched on or off for the whole organisation, a team or a single person. - Your organisation can blur screenshots. Blur, app exclusions and retention are set by your organisation. - If someone views your screenshots unblurred, it is recorded, and you can see it in My data under When someone removed the blur from your screenshots. - Screenshots and recordings are deleted automatically after 30 days by default (your organisation can change this).

How idle time works

If there is no keyboard or mouse activity for a while, TeamLens treats that stretch as idle rather than active time. Admins can change the idle threshold in Settings. Search the settings page for "idle" to find it. Idle stretches don't delete any time. If you were working away from the computer, for example in a meeting, ask for that time with a manual time request.

See your own data (My data)

Open My data in the TeamLens app (the page is titled What TeamLens records about you). It shows: - What is stored about you, and how long each kind is kept - Who can see it in your organisation - When someone removed the blur from your screenshots - When someone watched your screen live. Every live-view session is logged. - How to get your data corrected or removed You can also see your own timeline, sessions and screenshots.
